New Partners and Proven Co-operation
Stuttgart. The Porsche Motorsport family continues to grow. Aside from the
record sales of 260 racing 911 GT3 Cup and 911 GT3 RSR vehicles as well as
six RS Spyders, Porsche Motorsport is delighted to welcome new partners and
to announce the continuation of proven co-operation.
After DHL joined the Porsche RS Spyder project with Penske Motorsports in
the American Le Mans Series in 2006, the logistics professionals now extend
their co-operation into other Porsche Motorsport markets. With the status
as series partner DHL's yellow-red logo appears on all vehicles contesting
the Porsche Carrera Cup series in Asia, Australia, France, Great Britain,
Italy, Japan and Scandinavia.
With the Krombacher Group and Alfred K√rcher GmbH & Co. KG, Porsche has two
new and strong partners alongside. In the future, Krombacher as the brand
with Germany's best selling premium beer will bring its product portfolio
to the Porsche Motorsport hospitality, to the Porsche Gastronomy and to
events put on by Porsche AG. Schweppes, as part of the Krombacher Group,
will be represented on all vehicles competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup
Deutschland. The soft drink is promoted within a national campaign for the
first time in 2007.
K√rcher joins the Penske Motorsports team as partner in the American Le
Mans Series. Additionally to a high-profile branding on the rear wings, on
both sides of the front, the side mirrors and on the engine hood of both
yellow RS Spyders, the world leader in pressure cleaning systems utilises
the partnership for customer loyalty programmes on the US market and for
far-reaching communication measures worldwide.
New partners to join the Porsche hospitality for 2007 are the companies of
Darboven, WMF, Tafelstern, Vaihinger fruit juices and Teinacher mineral
water as well as Danneman cigars. Guests visiting the Porsche Carrera Cup
hospitality can now enjoy the products from these popular companies.
With the tool specialist Fein, Porsche Motorsport gains a new supplier and
series partner for the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. The manufacturer of
high-end electrical tools will be present with its products in the Porsche
Motorsport workshops and at the race tracks.
A special anniversary is celebrated with UPS. For 10 years now the company
has been the exclusive partner and title sponsor of the UPS-Porsche Junior
Team, fostering new generations of Porsche race drivers. In 2007 the
UPS-Porsche Junior Team again contests the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland
series as well as selected rounds of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup.
Moreover, Porsche extended its partnerships with all other current
sponsors. ZF Sachs, Hyatt and Brembo are again on-board as partners of the
Porsche Mobil1 Supercup. ZF Sachs partners the Porsche Carrera Cup
Deutschland, together with HP, Emitec, Pagid, Herma, Bose and Johnson
Mathey. Hazet, Berner, MAN, ThurMetall, NEC and Beissbarth are the official
suppliers to Porsche Motorsport.
Also on-board as official supplier is the sportswear specialist Adidas.
Together with designers at the company's headquarters in Herzogenaurach,
Porsche Motorsport created the latest team uniforms. The collection is
complemented by Porsche Design sun-glasses. The fashion label Orwell is
also involved with Porsche Motorsport for the first time this season.
"We are pleased to welcome our new partners and of course to extend the
contracts with our existing partners," said Florian Kurz, Head of Business
Relations at Porsche Motorsport. "The increase in Porsche partners, the
growing interest from attractive brands and the longevity of our
co-operation confirm the concept of our motorsport activities. This is
exactly what we want to work on in the future and to further develop - both
in the makes cups and in other race series, in order to keep offering our
partners attractive marketing possibilities."
